EDraw Mind Map is an easy-to-use graphical editing system that supports the creation of mind maps (graphical representation of ideas or thought processes) for brainstorming, capturing ideas, problem solving, rational analysis, and decision making. It comes with example templates for the user to quickly create a mind map diagram. Then, through a drag and drop process, the "mind mapper" creates a quality mind map which can be used in presentations or collaboration with others.
The package allows users to quickly capture and create professional-looking mind map diagrams either through working alone, or by capturing ideas through group discussions. Little or no drawing skills are required through the use of a simple drag and drop interface from a set of stencil shapes.
The package is ideal for anyone who needs to create mind maps rapidly. Once drawn, the mind map can be printed on its own, or included within a document or presentation. One feature however which is not available in this package is the ability to fold and expand the separate nodes within a mind map, as an aid to focusing a group’s attention on a particular branch of the map.
If you require a tool that is simple to use and yet can create professional-looking and colorful mind maps, then this is the package to choose. The basic mind map functions are free, but an upgrade is available which introduced additional diagram types, both as examples in a library, and in stencils for drag and drop access. |
